This was our first visit to Chicago. We stayed for 5 nights. * Location - The location was great. It is in a good area, not far from tourist places, close to train stops * Room - The room was clean and nice. * Breakfast - We liked that while some foods were the same every day, they changed up the hot foods each day. Javier and Fannie who worked in the breakfast room were friendly and attentive. Good breakfast for a hotel. * firestation noise - Some people have mentioned the noise of the sirens. You can hear when the sirens of the trucks are leaving. It is not too bad and you get used to it quickly. It is not constant. I would recommend it for a couple or a family stay.

Good location, close to many attractions, front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room I got had a very bad view but other than that was comfortable. The bed and pillows were great, we slept like we never do! Breakfast included is very limited in options but its OK. I would like it if they did not use paper plates and plastic cutlery as this is a lot of waste and it makes it look cheap, on the plus side....Fanny and Javier, the staff in charge of breakfast service are awesome. So warm and friendly Sometimes understaffed and they got slammed but they made every morning a fun way to start our day.

This is a pretty standard Fairfield Inn - decent rooms, clean, excellent service. In particular, the location of this hotel is great for getting to downtown Chicago tourist sites. Many great restaurants are within short walking distance. Drawbacks - the sirens did get to us. The hotel is across the street from a fire station and the sirens are loud. Also, breakfast selection was poor and the hotel was unable to handle the volume during the Christmas break (never enough food or seating).

Our family of four stayed here between Christmas and New Year’s and enjoyed our stay. It’s located in a great area with easy walking access to restaurants, L train stations, and the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are specious, comfortable, and clean. We felt safe walking in the area at night. All staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. The two drawbacks are the location across from the fire station, which some nights was not an issue at all and other nights woke us up quite a bit. The breakfast rush also meant a chaotic breakfast area and very slow elevators during that time. Otherwise, this hotel met our needs for our visit to Chicago.

So very happy with our recent week long stay at this property. The beds were comfortable. We got a studio suite and the couch was a nice addition to make our stay good. There was no safe in the room, if that is important to you. All the staff at this property were great. Everyone was always welcome and friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great each morning. It always included at least 2 hot dishes, which changed daily. Also always available were fruit, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, yoghurt, juice, coffee, etc. As others have said the staff there were wonderful. So friendly and on top of keeping everything clean and topped up. Mentions of the firehall across the street. Yes you could hear sirens, but not to the point of wake you up or disturb your stay. Location was excellent for walking everywhere, lots and lots of food options nearby.
